My ode to the mothers, the grandmothers and the great grandmothers. Thank you for your softness, your resilience, your strength and deep inner wisdom and knowledge. Thank you to the sacred waters that flow through us to being able to birth future generations, our bodies are sacred portals between heaven and earth. Thank you to my own mama for nurturing me so that I may have self worth, that I know how special my periods are and for me to have received a rites of passage. Thank you to my babushka for your prayers, they keep me safe, and I honour my great-grandmother for being my guide, my oracle and the speaking through me to hold the sacred womens work that I now hold as my legacy. I don’t yet know what it’s like to be a mother, but mothers - I see you, and I cherish you for all that you do 🤍
