Here are some film photos captured on the set of PARTNERS by none other than our talented 1st AC Jesse Johnson @yunglumpy (for new people, this is my MFA thesis film we shot a month and a half ago) Notice where Jesse attempted to heal a water mark, a third eye opened on my right cheek I miss everyone dearly and deeply but now I have a movie (halfway through rough cut) that forever and ever holds these five days in its bounds, scripted memories, the 30ish heartbeats that commingled and wandered there. I’m talking about it romantically, like one big polyamorous love story because it is. Figuratively and physically. I’ll miss it forever, this thing that everyone pulled together largely not knowing if it would work or not. Announcement to everyone now: it’s working. To my friends and family and lovers and babies - you skate around my mind, each face each beauty mark each shade of hair each tone of voice, each and all. Not everyone is represented here, just a snapshot of the big idea. Once again I pay my millionth homage to these people who gave up a work-week of time they might have used in any number of ways, to help me make something become stuck in time so we can always keep it, as if these are home videos to memorize the moment: repeat watches, worn out tape, lines across the gray, beaten battered and borne.
