If you took your time to read and learn about what occurred in Artsakh, thank you. If you signed petitions and donated, thank you. If you reposted and spread information, thank you. Thank you for being involved in a situation that may not have directly affected you. If you didn’t do any of this, I hope you learn from it. I hope you now take the time to understand what went on and what the people of Armenia & Artsakh as well as our diaspora went through. What we are still currently going through. The silence and the Selective Activism from many of you was heartbreaking, to say the least. To many of you, I may be your only Armenian friend, and when I asked you to help my community, I was met with little to no response. I openly stated that I would be here to answer questions/explain context, but no one except 3 people took advantage of that. Now I understand that 2020 was a complete shit show in itself and everyone was going through it, but it was upsetting to see someone post a picture of their food after watching my story of the War Crimes happening in Artsakh. Now this post barely touches on what happened and if you would like to learn the entirety of it, I recommend @voxdotcom ‘s 9 minute video explaining The Armenian and Azerbaijan War. Our fight is far from over and there are still many ways you can help! The link in my bio can direct you to donation fund links that will help send money and supplies to those displaced from the war as well as help rebuild areas that were destroyed from the many bombs that were dropped in the region.
