We are stronger together, Toronto. I took a few days to just relax and reflect on what happened Thursday night. Closing out the show was of course an honour (and PRESHHHHA at the same time)...but I had to make sure and flip the building upside down-not for me-but for the city. @champagnepapi and @djcharlieb wanted to link the generations and show the city and the world a huge part of where we came from and where we are going. That sentiment is everything, because our city has been a hidden gem in plain sight for decades. Of course there is no way to do this and include every incredible artist who shaped our city and made it what it is, but I rate Thursday night because it was the catalyst to do more incredible nights and continue to show the world why our city produced some of the best emcees, singers, producers directors an ting. Differently, Drizzy doesn’t owe me anything at all, but I have to say that the kind words that we exchanged that night, privately and publicly meant a lot to me and speaking to many people in the streets-it meant a lot to people who come from where we from. The love that was in the building that evening amongst all the artists and everybody’s team was overwhelming. IT WAS A GOOD FUCKING NIGHT. I will definitely post more from that night, but I must say bless up to Drake, Charlie B and every🦉who put together that event. Love to ALL the artists who rocked and made history in History. Love to all the artists who weren’t able to be in the place-more vibes to come soon, don’t watch nutt’n. If we had everybody, the concert would still be going all now🥳 That night was one for the books. Cheers to many more to come. We have the best vibes in the world...T-Dot says “you dun know!”.
