Here is a description from @patekphilippe : The dial of this limited edition of ten watches in Grand Feu cloisonné enamel plays on the distinctive, elegant shape of the manta ray, treated here as a decorative repeat pattern on a ground of ocean blue. To outline all the elements of this marine composition, the enameller used 46 cm of gold wire (0.37 g) measuring 0.10 × 0.45 and 0.05 x 0.4 mm in cross-section, cut into tiny segments and shaped by hand before being fixed to the dial plate. He then worked with a palette of 17 enamel colors, mainly opaque, but with some translucent or opalescent, to bring out the ornamental aspect of the picture. Each dial required from 10 to 12 firings at a temperature of about 820°C. The bezel is adorned with the famous Clous de Paris or hobnail motif emblematic of the Patek Philippe style.
