Carlo Riva, founder of Riva is the mastermind behind the MonteCarlo Offshorer concept during the 70's. Just after selling Riva to Bertram, Mr.Riva brought from the United States an innovative idea: the first deep V-step hull, a project that was highly innovative because the steps in the hull would create a certain "lift" effect on the hull, making it faster and lighter on the surface of the water.
