my autumn reading list ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ every fall, i feel a bittersweet nostalgia for my days as an english lit student. while i am *very* grateful i never have to write a thesis again, i do miss spending cool autumn days reading in cozy cafes or curled up in the library. to combat my nostalgia, i assign myself a โ€œsyllabusโ€ to take all the fun parts of studying english lit without any of the paper-writing. i definitely still have a knee-jerk reaction when reading any classic that i need to come up with some brilliant and original outline for a thesis, but then i remember my job now is to talk about perfume on the internet. now, naturally, my second knee-jerk reaction is to match every book i read to a perfume (a much easier task than coming up with a thesis, i might add ๐Ÿ˜†). so here you have it! my scented syllabus for this autumn, which i am incredibly excited to get through before next โ€œtermโ€ (aka whenever i finish these). what are you reading this autumn? also, any recommendations based on these titles? clearly i enjoy gothic fiction, anything to do with vampires, and a bit of eccentricity or melodrama. i love adding to my tbr based on your recs! ๐Ÿ“š #fragrancecollection #readinglist #autumnreading #perfumecollection
