Fable & Airwave Exhibition Lin Yen-liang is an artist from Taiwan, and a professor at Tunghai University Fine Arts department. His works beckon every viewer in that they remind us of our bygone childhood and innocent dreams. Lin is also an avid collectors of toys and figurines, which have gradually influenced his artistic style. His works take us back to a promised land of hope and pureness which has yet been contaminated by alienation and negativity. Art, when being interpreted, is often emphasized with some grand narratives. However, Lin Yen-liang’s works respond to such tendency by returning to simplicity and nature. In his lighthearted and mesmerizing brushworks, innocence and kindness will never be betrayed. Lin Yen-liang graduated from Tunghai University with a degree in Landscape. He started to study graphic illustrations in graduate school and established his own illustration and design brand “BaNAna Lin”.
