Did you buy yourself some dumbbells yet? I found some really good bargains on Amazon and also some used ones on eBay. Don’t believe that you can get away with using super lightweights and never changing them. After a while your body gets stronger and so you need to increase the weight. I found some weights that you can adjust which is super useful so you don’t have to have loads of different sets of dumbbells. Some people think that you can just get a lightweight and lift it 100 times. They believe that this will give you the same result as lifting heavier and heavier. This is not true. It is common question I get asked is how heavy should I be lifting. Unfortunately that answer is different for everyone. My trainer has taught me to lift with good form so that the last couple of reps should really be getting pretty hard to do. If you’re lifting weights and it’s just too easy then the WEIGHTS are too light. This is quite a full on midlife upper body workout. You could just pick four or five of these exercises and do them rather than doing all of the ones shown. Do 12 reps and if it’s a single arm exercise make sure you do 12 reps on each arm.
