“The way that I create is with the space as my canvas and with the flowers as my paint...The many layers that I have to my artworks is due to the fact that I’m already working with an artwork.” —Rebecca Louise Law
Law’s work explores the complex human connection to nature with the intent to inspire a deeper appreciation for the natural world. The British artist's colossal installations, which can feel like monumental hanging gardens, offer each of us a unique experience: her work can evoke themes of consumerism, sustainability, and life cycles, while also providing harmonious spaces for rest and contemplation.
The exhibition “Rebecca Louise Law: Awakening” opens September 17 at HoMA. More information at the link in bio.
