Usually, NEAT accounts for 200 - 300 calories/day, but with a little conscious effort, you can bump this to 400 - 500 calories/day.
Conscious micromovement means fighting the body’s natural drive to move less.
You can consciously move by taking the stairs instead of the elevator or walking to the gym.
Purchase a stand-up desk or, even better, a treadmill desk. Push-ups and bodyweight squats should be done once or twice a day.
Do abs while watching Netflix.
Begin your day with 5 minutes of yoga, etc.
These can all stack up to burn an extra 200-500 calories daily, which is a lot.
