We need more protein in midlife. Our bodies aren’t so good at using the protein that we eat as we age. Therefore we need to make sure we have enough.
There are loads of myths flying around about eating too much protein and how much we can use at each sitting, and that protein is somehow ‘bad’ for many of us.
Rather than believe a newspaper article or a magazine article that is simply trying to sell copies.. Listen to the scientists who do the research and who read other peoples research. There are some people on instagram or are great at scaremongering us...
This is why I like to follow people such a @biolayne who is simply brilliant at CORRECTLY reading research papers and translating them to be easy to understand.
Do give him a follow. I will mention some other great people who are great at health and fitness on here soon. As you know for me fitness is my therapy. Fitness is what keeps me going.
Midlife hormonal changes are NO JOKE. The mood swings and up and downs are like a merry go round. Annie Anxious visiting all the time, and Debbie Downer tagging along. (Drinking to much Rose last night does not help with midlife migraines OR Debbie downer moods but let’s not dwell on that).
BUT exercise is ONE OF the many thing we can do for our mental, physical and emotional health.
