Words by @sevdaliza_ : Women are taught to undermine themselves. Women have and will always be harshly criticized and overly judged. Women are taught to compete with other women. I choose my path to freedom by breaking out of this cycle. To this day, it’s hard to play the game as a woman. We are undermined and we have to fight for each and every tiny step. I realize that the more our external presence does not fit the misogynistic society, the more we risk drowning because of the exhaustion from swimming against the big machine current. I don’t like to give advice because I am barely at the start of a revolution but for women out there who are pursuing any type of passion, ground yourself by building an strong devoted innerlife and a life outside of your work. Be prepared for that tough road. We are built to be all love and power, but we need to detach from the faulty lessons the world has taught us about owning her light and power. We also need a practice and sanctuary we can devote ourselves to. Please don’t be so hard on yourself when everybody else already is. We don’t need a certain hip waist ratio to be loving and cared for. We deserve to be what we are. Take the time to nourish and rest up. This one is for you, LADIES. Rhode.
