Y’all... it’s official. I think this is the most beautiful hike we have ever been on. 🌻🏔 @alltrails describes this hike as “continuous sensory overload” and I think that just about sums it up. It’s honestly hard to describe the sweeping vistas, the steep mountain slopes, and lush wildflowers adorning the hills sides. The hike ends at an alpine lake that will take you breath away, partly because you just climbed 3,000+ feet and partly because it’s so dang beautiful. 😍 🧡 Name: Hidden Lake Lookout 📍 Location: Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest and North Cascades National Park 📏 Length: 7.5 miles 🏔 Elevation gain: 3,254 feet ⚠️ Bug-o-meter: 2/5 We started this hike at 2 PM, after spending the morning at the mechanic having our brakes checked. That meant that we didn’t get back to the van until 9 PM (originally, we planned to start this hike in the morning so we’d have even more time to enjoy the views!). It was a long day, but we can confidently say it was worth it! We’d love to do this hike again as a backpacking trip— there’s even a fire lookout you can stay at! 🔥 Fun fact: this hike starts on Forest Service land, but ends in North Cascades National Park! 🙌🏼 Would you stay in a fire lookout?
