Still taking it all in. On Saturday night, I was installed as President of the Virgil Hawkins Florida Chapter National Bar Association, standing at the helm of a chapter that has spent 70 years fighting for access, equity, and justice for Black lawyers and the communities we serve. To be entrusted with this role, surrounded by my family, my village, and almost 400 incredible guests, was humbling. I know I don’t walk alone and I’m so grateful for every hand that helped lift me into this moment. Together, we are strengthening our power through unity. Special congratulations to The Florida Bar President Sia Baker Barnes, The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division President Arti Hirani on their installations last week as well. I'm excited to serve alongside these 2 incredible women. Thank you to everyone who showed up, supported, sponsored, served, and celebrated with us. Let’s make this year one for the books.
