the womb as the center of all life + our wellness. my lovely midwives wrapped my belly hours after birth. i kept the gauze-like wrap on 24/7 for about a week. i, then transitioned into my traditional bengkung cloth wrap for a couple of hours a day while in bed. im almost 30 days postpartum and i cant believe the difference i feel this time around. I feel strong and my milk is flowing! my body is still soar from being tested and stretched to its limits from carrying and birthing Ra. so having the extra help to support my physical body as everything begins to shift and settle internally was imperative. ive been focusing on the ancestral practices that were created to honor and support the space for our postpartum healing - from nourishment, to physical + herbal supportive practices. western ways have not been giving anything but exhaustion, depletion and malnourished energy, to be real. and the lessons i learned with my first 2, i am still healing from today. So naturally for my 3rd, nuturing myself so I can fully nuture my baby + family felt the most right xx
