Let’s talk hair shedding! ✨ Okay so you’re not alone everyone freaks (clients and stylist) when they see this for the 1st time. But rest assured this is completely normal and it’s our jobs as stylists to be educated and educate our clients... ☝🏽let them know that we naturally shed 100-150 natural hairs a day ✌🏽the naturally shedded hair is trapped inside the point of attachment (bead, tape, bond etc) so it needs to be released, this is what happens when we open that attachment point during a maintenance and WEEKS of natural shed comes out. Let’s do some quick math for fun; 100 hairs a day 7 days a week = 700 hairs a week 6 weeks in between maintenances 700 hairs x 6 weeks = 4200 hairs 😲 ✨Pro Tip! Put the fire out before it starts (manage the panic) explain this in detail to your clients AT THE CONSULTATION, and again AFTER the install and again BEFORE the maintenance appointment. That way you reduce the shock and your client feels safe and at ease 😘
