As you watch us pretend to be professionals.. let’s talk about the music that’s playing for a sec. Growing up, i had an eclectic taste, with a wide array of influences from multiple genres. Anything from hardcore hip hop to anime opening theme songs. One genre that always spoke to me was punk rock. Teen angst and belting? What’s not to love. These guys @yellowcard just dropped an album called Ocean Avenue and it easily became the soundtrack of my life my senior year in HS. Their following album Lights and Sounds was on constant replay on my tiny iPod shuffle. Fast forward to now, and to have @williamryankey and @ryanmichaelmendez score my directorial debut film as @jedhamusic ... it all feels surreal and out of this world. I absolutely love this soundtrack, and i couldn’t have asked for more down to earth collaborators with endless miles of talent. For anyone in Chicago and going to Riot Tour this weekend, just know i am infinitely jealous of you. These guys are gonna rock your f*king socks off.
