Supergirl Pro is an event I want to win in the years to come and it is such a powerful womenʻs event that brings together a lot of the best women to compete & celebrates the ocean. Yesterday, I won my first heat and felt really good. Going into my second heat I was mentally ready and very excited. During my heat I had a hard time finding the open waves & just like that I wasnʻt able to show my heʻenalu skills. Leading up to the event I felt strong and I was super excited! Waves dropped a couple feet by the time the competition came and so it was conditions I haven’t surfed at Oceanside before. My win of the event is definitely my mental game being on point & feeling strong with my performance, pre-competition preparation. I was really focusing on strong mental awareness going into this event. I learned so much from my dad @duanedesoto on this trip about mentality going into events and I also am working with an amazing mental coach that has been pushing me to level up. My learning (not loss) is that I have to build my adaptability in events & be more prepared for all conditions. I am so grateful for the continued support around me and love you all!
