Yesterday afternoons excursion was way more involved than the morning lap up Galdhøpiggen. I had seen a cool looking mountain with an obvious continuation ridge, when we drove up the valley the previous day. My first plan was to do it today (Sunday) but as the forecast was meant to crap out, I decided to just make the most of the sunshine and head out again after lunch yesterday once we’d returned from our morning summit . It was a bit more of a slog in and out than I’d originally thought, but once on the ridge it was totally mega! There was everything from knife edge ridge sections, snowed up rock climbing, amazing flat pedestals with world class views and the odd pitch or two of climbing at around VS. I’m psyched I made the most of the good weather as this was one of the funnest ridges I’ve done in a long time! It was made even better by having zero prior knowledge of the mountain, route or terrain.
