for those who don’t know, academia has been almost my ENTIRE life for the past 15 years. i wanted nothing more than to be the best at everything school related. i don’t even have a good reason for why, i just wanted to. i graduated high school as valedictorian and now these are my college stats: -4.0 gpa in computer science degree -4.0 gpa in mathematics degree -2 degrees in just 3.5 years -research and thesis at MIT (top engineering school woohoo) -research at Vanderbilt -3x published author -programmed one of the first unsupervised learning toolkits for audio data -$150,000+ in scholarships (debt free woohoo) -couple national awards and research grants -summa cum laude -was able to become a computer science influencer and gain over 140,000 new friends and invest in crypto on the side! a couple years into college i realized i wanted more than just to be good at academia (duh), but i decided to finish strong, and i think it’s safe to say i achieved my goal. for those who have asked: i’m not sure what’s next for me quite yet. my skills are in artificial intelligence/machine learning but i may look to transition into gaming/crypto. maybe i’ll do big tech for a little. as for right now, i’m taking the next month or so to chill, then reevaluate my options. open to any and all advice.
