So much of us are stuck in a state of control that’s draining our life force energy. It takes so much psychic energy to hold shame in place, shame of our own impulses, our bodies & our ‘unrefined’ nature. A shame that keeps us stuck in this draining state of trying to be the ‘good girl’, the ‘chill girl’ & the ‘doesn’t make a fuss girl’. We’ve been taught to be afraid of our WILD, the unbridled chaos within us. Taught to be afraid of our Shakti, the life force energy that sits at the base of the spine: at our ROOT. In this we’ve been taught to be afraid of OURSELVES - & that is god damn exhausting. We’ve been taught to fear the symbol the snake, to cast it as evil, in the same way we’ve been taught to fear the ‘witch’. All of these symbols of the wild, primal intelligence within us, distorted through a lens of fear - under the guise of being ‘civilised’. It’s just plain wrong that you should be afraid of your own indomitable wild. Yet most of us hold these unintegrated patterns of self rejection, suppression & denial in our psyches & somatically in the body. These patterns of disconnection from being taught to reject our primal as wrong, dirty or bad. It shows up in how disconnected most of us are from our bodies physically (especially ‘down there’). It shows up in how disconnected most of us are from our primal sxuality. It shows up in how disconnected most of us are from our sacred rage - which leads to an inability to set boundaries. It shows up in the shut down that often immediately follows when we connect to our desires or impulses. Reconnecting to this primal intelligence, that lives at your root, is your birthright.
