I stumbled across this acronym recently on Tiktok & I wanted to share it with y’all! You’ve probably heard of WLW (women loving women) & MLM (men loving men) but what’s the equivalent for those who identify outside of the binary who do not identify as a man? NMLNM stands for non-men loving non-men & is an acronym used by those who identify as anything other then men who are in romantic and/or seggual relationships with other folks who identify as anything other than men! Some examples of what this may look like include: 💃Lesbian & a Nonbinary individual🧚‍♀️ 🏋🏼‍♀️ Two lesbians🏃‍♀️ 🕺Two enbies🕺 🧚‍♀️ Trans women & a genderfluid individual 🧞‍♂️ As always, some folks like this acronym as it includes the vast majority of individuals & is inclusive to those outside of the binary (those who do not identify under ‘man’ in any way), and some folks don’t like the acronym - either way, we should respect those who do use the label 👏🏻 Personally - as an Nonbinary person, I rather like this term as WLW & MLM doesn’t speak for me whilst NMLNM does.. is it clunky?...yes, but it’s good to have a acronym that I could use if I wished to!
