Back in 2016 when I visited the region above the arctic circle for the 1st time #fjallravenpolar2023 My first contact with Lapland back in 2016, when me and my good friend @peter_dvorak did a nine day loop hike at Sarek national park. 2 days on proper trails and rest bushwacking thru this amazing wilderness filled with bluberries, cloudberries & mushrooms (not that Im a big fan of mushrooms). This experience had totally changed my mind about what real wilderness looks like and hiking in this terrain is also totally different from what I’ve seen before. Ever since then I always wanted to visit this area again but in winter. Experience the harshness but also to try how it feels to be in proper cold. When the pandemic ended, friend of mine @slovinsky.art messaged me that they are going to Abisko, watching & photographing the northen lights so I got hooked and went for it. Once again we all fell in love with The North during the winter. And once again I’m looking for an opportunity to try & experience something new and also to test myself. I always enjoyed winter more than every other season. I camped a lot of times during the winter but never in extreme colds riding a dog sled. So I’m totally up for this challange and I know it will deepen my respect & connection to the nature even more and one of my big dreams would come true. #Challenge1 #FjallravenPolar2023
