We embarked on a NO FLY journey from Switzerland to the Arctic over the past month! An attempt to avoid the carbon emissions of flying within Europe turned into one crazy adventure: 🚇 Travelled a total of 8000+ kilometers and spent 74.5 hours on trains + a few more on ferries 😮 📍Used a @eurail global pass to travel through 5 countries - Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Norway - and cross the North Sea and the Arctic Circle! 💺 Experienced some rather futuristic trains - like the TGV, the fastest in Europe. And some rather beaten down, exhausting regional ones. 🏡 Lived the digital nomad life at stunning Scandic-inspired @airbnb accommodations in Oslo and Stockholm. ☀️ And witnessed one of the most surreal places on earth - the Lofoten Islands in the Norwegian Arctic, with 24 hours of daylight 😮 I consciously decided not to share live stories from this adventure just to be able to live it fully - and to be honest, I’m still processing the magnificence of it all. How lucky are we to call this incredible planet home - and how stupid to be hell bent on destroying it with our collective greed?! 😭
