I’ve been training for 13 years now and when I look back at the process it was not always an easy one. I first opened my own business Mad Ape Sports out of a physical therapy clinic called Achieve Physical therapy. The owners Steve long and Steve Cole believed in me and gave me my shot. As I grew my business I was approached with an opportunity to work for Geno Pierce at Performance Course as one of their full time strength and conditioning coaches. By taking this step I knew that I would take a financial setback but knew it would be for the best. I was able to learn and add more resources to my craft and network. I worked there for 5 years before leaving and becoming the Director of Performance and Recovery at Performance Medicine and Sports Therapy. I was with them for two years before separating from them and opening a gym with my business partner Kavon Frazier. We put both of our brands together Mad Ape Sports and BUILT4IT to come up with BUILT4IT Athletics.
