To commemorate this year’s upcoming Concours of Elegance, which will be held early next month on the grounds of Hampton Court Palace outside London, A. Lange & Söhne created this one-of-a-kind example of its 1815 Chronograph, featuring a solid-silver dial in black with sandstone-tinted scales and numerals. It’s the first example of the 1815 Chronograph to feature the combination of a black dial with a white gold case and sandstone-colored numerals. But what makes the 1815 Chronograph “2022 Concours Edition” extra special is the intricate hand-engraved hinged cuvette that protects the manual-wind Lange caliber L951.5 chronograph movement inside. Oh, and did we mention that the new unique piece is all for a good cause? After the Concours wraps up, @phillipswatches will auction off the just-announced, one-of-a-kind A. Lange & Söhne timepiece during November’s Geneva Watch Auction: XVI, with all proceeds – yup, every last one of ’em – going toward @princestrust, a youth charity founded by HRH The Prince of Wales.
