On Friday we had our latest @design_declares event, and it was incredible. The speakers: @tmsophie @100kicks @tobias_revell and @alexiesommer brought insight and experience to the stage. Urging us to reframe how we think about waste, use care as a tool for design and how to look to the future when designing for the present. During the speculative design workshop run by @tarathinkdo and I, groups proposed products or services for a range of 2050 scenarios. It was amazing how much they achieved in less than 90 minutes working with complete strangers. But more than anything I was, once again, just in awe of the energy and passion for learning, sharing and taking action this growing community brings to these events.
