Has it been a whole week since NYCC? Actually, the Con itself seemed like a modest lifetime: non-stop fans, so many in fact that I barely had a chance to walk around Artists Alley, much less see what was going on upstairs 😳! Never even say the Marvel booth, much less any friends like CB who might have been there. That said, I did get to see friends in AA, some if whom were real surprises and far to many who I haven’t seen in quite a while: like Michael Golden, Art Adams, Joyce Chin, Adam Kubert, Emma Kubert, Frank Miller, Mark Silvestri, Jim Lee and the Guy, Bill Sienkiewicz! Plus my own contribution to the charity art auction, art *+* dialogue. It was a great time, refreshing ‘old’ connections, remembering things past and more importantly talking about the future. Trust Bill to say the most impactful of words: that last gig was fun, let’s do something else, real soon! (Paying attention, Marvel? Willing to see what Bill & I’ll come up with next? Anyone care to see what might well be in store for Dani & Brightwind when they go up against the Shadow King? Or perhaps something completely different?? 🤔 ) Ahhh, the possibilities! (Gotta go now, folks: ((Editor)) Mark’s waiting for X-treme #5! And trust me, writers never want to make their editors cranky. 🙄☹️😵‍💫 What a way to close out the US Convention year!
