Traveling can definitely take a toll on your health so these are some of the things that I do to stay healthy in the travel process ♥️ 1. Usually if I'm not leaving until later I'll try to get a workout in the morning but for this trip I had to leave at 6 AM so I got a workout in the couple days before :) 2. I like to eat at least one homemade meal the day of, for the flight I brought some overnight oats with me and they usually let me take this through security 3. I always bring a refillable water bottle and refill it at the airport. I drink as much as I can at the gate, and make sure to fill it right before I take off. There’s no such thing as too much water when you’re traveling, a lot of times this is your missing component of your healthy travel gut. And I’ll usually buy an extra water bottle just to make sure I have a lot 4. I like to do at least one super nourishing meal - for example I picked up a sweetgreen salad for lunch today ☺️ 5. No restriction! When picking something on the menu, think about what’s going to add to your overall meal experience - IE choosing the steak for protein and also sharing fries for fun and a side salad for nutrients.. it’s all about balancing your plate. Food is meant to be enjoyed ♥️ I’m still learning more tips and tricks every time I travel but I’ve finally gotten a good routine down! It took me YEARS to figure out how to travel sustainably, to actually have fun while prioritizing my health at the same time.
