Born to the Oglala Lakota Sioux tribe in South Dakota's Pine Ridge reservation, Sean Sherman (@the_sioux_chef) moved to Minneapolis as a young adult and has worked to bring back Indigenous foods and disseminate them throughout his community. He is co-founder and co-owner of the @siouxchef, @natifs_org, @indigenousfoodlab, @owamni, and @bipocfoodways. This past June, the James Beard Foundation named Owamni the best new restaurant in the United States.
