As the very first person to say "go for it" when I spawned the idea of @rebeccasprivateidaho, he's been around a while, won, and podiumed many gravel events. As the proud winner of my very own non-UCI gravel world championship, (@gravel_worlds , 2015) and as an event director for an independently owned event, I agree with Yuri on many of his points. We're all for more people riding bikes, but does UCI involvement mean cannibalized resources, sponsors, and athletes at the unsanctioned events?
