Day 1 at Clay College complete. We were introduced to the building and even got a tour round one of the very old bottle kilns, did you know that they weren't built waterproof because the heat from the firings was enough not to be affected by the weather. Nowadays there's a dampness inside, its crazy to think how they used to be fired. The day was followed by more information and a very in depth demonstration by Kevin, the main course teacher.
