“Once Upon a Time in Cocoa Beach” acrylic on birch plywood 36”x80” There goes life imitating art again. I did this piece a couple of years ago. A young boy from Cocoa Beach dominates competitive surfing for 3 decades. He secures 11 world titles.He becomes champion at the most prestigious and dangerous surf contest in the world, the Pipeline Masters, a record 8 times. The last win coming at almost 50 years of age, a full 30 years after his first win there. I’m not even sure Hollywood would buy this script. Damn, I’m so proud of my friend... @kellyslater
