Soft opening was such a success! When I found this space in December I had no idea how much it would take to open. Everything that could go wrong did and then some! There were so many times I didn’t think I could do this. Or that this wouldn’t happen and then it did! When I moved to DC 12 years ago. I had $70 to my name, I slept in a mice infested apartment that cost $500 in Fort Totten, and I worked 5 jobs while in hair school and still couldn’t afford my bills or to eat many nights. There were so many times I was harassed and bullied by my co workers at previous salons. Times when life would slap the shit out of me and I had no one to turn to. I say all that to say this. It doesn’t matter where you come from, who likes you, or what you do or don’t have. Treat everyday as an opportunity to be better. Know who you are and what your purpose is. Even when no one believes in you. Please believe in yourself! Trust and believe me that shit will pay off! Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me and my brand!
