Physicians: how can we send a different message to medical students and future physicians? Medicine has never been an easy career and yes, it’s harder than ever to be a physician today. But it’s still honorable, fulfilling and allows you to make a good living. Becoming a direct primary care (DPC) physician allowed me to find joy in medicine again. Having a small panel and not taking insurance lets me to have more time with my patients and less administrative work. And what about other physicians? What would you say to a medical student today to support them and let them know they made a good decision to enter this profession ?
