In July 2021, I had an in-studio photo session with a dear friend on a rainy day in Brooklyn. I asked, as I always do during shoots, what music he wanted to listen to. He insisted on L'Rain's (@turrelljames) newest album "Fatigue", which was released a only a few weeks prior. We had been swapping texts about how brilliant the songs were in the days leading up to our shoot, so getting to swim in the sounds together was such a treat. We ended up playing it from beginning to end, twice. I spent a lot of that summer doing that.
