Like a nomadic society that settles down and begins to honour its dead, the first step towards the construction of a founding architecture is announced in the form of two over-modelled skulls made of earth; two compact faces, here veiled with cloths. This Pre-Pottery Neolithic B (PPNB) tradition dating back to the beginnings of agriculture features the currency of a trade with the spiritual, a currency made of clay pulpit, inscribing the dead not in marble but in mud.
