Hey everyone!👋🏼 I’m Natalie, the person behind this page🤗 And pictured with me is my sweet OTTB mare, Stella🐎
I thought I’d share a bit about me so you could get to know me, my background, why I do what I do, and how I could help you💚
I’m originally from Chicago, which is where I got my Bachelors degree in Nutrition Science. After undergrad, I moved to Portland, Oregon for supervised practice and grad school. That’s also where I became an RDN, started my private practice, rescued our cat Erice, & met my soulhorse Stella...all of which I moved with me to LA ~4 years ago!🌴
I started my private practice out of my love for nutrition and our sport. I’m also a foodie - worked in restaurants for >10 years from high school through grad school!
Aaand I also used to struggle with disordered eating. I know what it’s like to be constantly thinking about food, feeling guilty for eating the food I loved, and being stuck in the seemingly neverending restrict/binge diet cycle😣
I know how much mental and physical energy dieting takes up, and I also know it’s possible to make peace with food, which helps free up and shift that mental and physical energy to positive things like riding! I’ve not only done this myself, but also help riders do the same🙌🏼
That’s why I’ve made it my mission to do 3 things:
1). Help riders like you heal your relationship with food so you can feel your best physically & mentally in & out of the saddle.
2). Create a community of riders that challenges diet culture in our sport.
3). Shift the paradigm from one that normalizes disordered eating & body shaming to one that respects body diversity & promotes healthy relationships with food.
If this resonates with you & you’re ready to heal your relationship with food & your body, check out my self-paced Intuitive Eating course, Buck Diet Culture (link in bio)💫
If you have questions about the course or just want to connect, my (virtual DM) door is also always open so feel free to pop in & say hi!💌
