15 years of centering AAPI women voices in government 💜💛— Nine years ago, my aunties Cyndi and Shirley told me about @aawpi_ Massachusetts State House fellowship. I interned with State Senator Jason Lewis and learned from inside a legislative office. More importantly, a special magic happens in AAWPI spaces where we share our authentic stories and practice radical love. I had never felt more seen. Rather than to wallow aimlessly in political anxiety, we leaned into our cohorts and our communities and learn to take action together. After 2021 Georgia mass shooting of 6 AAPI women, AAWPI urgently started a National Civic Impact Fellowship and Incubator which gives womxn the training, resources, mentorship, and $10k to work on community impact projects—everything I wish I had when I first graduated from college.
