The Ego's priority is to maintain its self image, it would rather be "right" than of harmony. And if we continue repeating poor behavior, then we continue to please & cultivate our ego, at the expense of harmony with all. The ego works thru attachment, for it can only maintain its identity if it is attached to what it identifies with, regardless of morality and correctness. If the ego identifys with suffering, then it will project from that energetic dimension, and cast that very energy upon others, unaware of it's effects and consequences. We see things not as they are, but as we are, and if we are projecting from a place of suffering, then all we see in life is suffering. If we resonate with anger, then we see life thru the lense of anger, & bring our anger onto others. There is hardly any self awareness that is active when the ego is in control. The ego refuses to let go of pain, suffering, beliefs, joy, fear, & love because of the attachment created. Well, sometimes the things we love in life are actually doing more harm than good, and if we can't detach, then our ego will keep pulling us back into the rythems that help hold together it's identity with said thing. Well, don't we all have experience dealing with folk who are so attached to some belief, that's it's nearly impossible to talk to them about anything else? You try to introduce a new way of thinking & it just immediately gets shut down, inspiring you to disconnect from that person because who wants to invest their time & energy into someone who won't bother to understand, because they rather judge with ignorance & arrogance. If we wish to maintain & cultivate harmony with ourselves and others, we MUST be willing to detach from the things we hold onto, and allow ourselves to experience, for the experience is what teaches us wisdom we may have never considered nor been aware of. But if we reject certain experience because it's not the "right" color, we stiffle & slow down our own evolution. We must allow ourselves to listen & understand all who are worthy, & those who are, are those who have a heart. Use your heart to feel what you know, to bypass ego.🙏💚✨
