Thank you @askdrfatima for your amazing, insightful interview on @60minutes about the prejudices doctors have against those of us in larger bodies. I’m choosing to share this as my first post of the year because of all of the weight loss and diet culture BS that’s being thrown around right now. These are facts, these aren’t opinions. For so many, including myself this is our reality. I hope that this helps someone understand a fraction of our frustrations when folks criticize fat folks for “not caring” about our bodies. We live in a world where everyone is so quick to point fingers instead of having compassion and understanding, so I want to tell you that you are loved, regardless of how you show up in this world. #effyourbeautystandards
