It’s been 2 years since we lost 17 members of our community, and almost 1 year since we lost 2 more. My heart aches knowing that everyone affected lost a piece of themselves that day...life has never and will never be the same. And although it never gets easier, we do get stronger. We fight harder for our eagles, honoring them in the best ways we know how. As I sit in my dorm room writing this, I feel so many things. I feel devastated that so many of my former classmates will never be able to go to college. I feel confused that I was able to make it out of school that day while so many did not. I feel grateful that I’m alive. And most of all, I feel so much love for the people who have stayed so positive despite everything. You make the world brighter, when two years ago it felt so dark. #MSDStrong, always. ❤️
