On Tuesday, the Pocatello Police Department (PPD) in Idaho cut the ribbon on their new mobile command center - an important investigative and operational tool funded by O.U.R. This unit includes a mobile forensic unit, a separate interview room, and communications center. - The mobile command center enables law enforcement to immediately process evidence on the scene of an investigation. This means by the time officers finish interrogating a suspect, they will have processed evidence and can arrest them before the day is done. This unit will not only support their department, but the entire region, as this Mobile Command Center is the best in the state. - Chief Shei of the PPD expressed gratitude for O.U.R. and all the donors throughout the country who support their work. “We have researched vehicles like this in the past but have never been able to make it happen...This is an awesome asset for our community, we already used it yesterday.” - Pocatello’s Mayor Blad noted how important equipment like this is for the department. “We could not make something like this happen without your support.
