✂️ Slicing through strings like... 🤷‍♂️ Directional picking has always been one of my favorite techniques - been a minute since I looked at it though 🏋️‍♀️ This technique is done by effectively using your starting pick stroke momentum to go in the direction you started in by slicing through strings on a down into another down on the higher adjacent string, so long as you’re using odd number notes like 1-3-5-7 etc. But! If you want to descend in odd notes, you gotta start on an up stroke 🪦 Or... let’s say you want to turn around and go the opposite direction your line started on... use even number strokes like 2-4-6-8 etc 🎈 This line uses all of them to go any and all directions... and by utilizing double down strokes and double up strokes to cut between string changes, I’m doing literally 33.33% less work than someone attempting to alternate pick this line.
