The first story I ever had published outside of my university’s student newspaper was for BeatRoute Magazine, an underground street publication in Calgary. It was likely strung together with flowery language that made no sense, but it felt like the pinnacle of my career. I wrote about @jessica_redditt_designs and her sustainable approach to fashion design. Never could I have imagined that all these years later we’d both find ourselves living out on the west coast practicing very different iterations of our respective crafts.
