Repost • @gilesduley When I set out to document the impact of conflict over fifteen years ago I described myself as an angry man with a camera. Since then I have witnessed war and its legacy in more than twenty countries. In doing so I've paid a heavy personal price, meaning my story is now forever linked with the stories of those I document. The anger is still there, but now it is focused on creating real change. I run a charity, @legacyofwarfoundation, that directly supports communities as they rebuild their lives, and through it we also campaign against the causes and crimes of the wars I've documented. Whilst a t-shirt can not stop war, and the funds we raise can never heal the scars completely; we can at least try and in doing show our solidarity with all those who’s lives have been torn apart and destroyed by war . I believe as global citizens we must stand stand against all war. Against the warmongers, the businesses that profit, the politicians that stand in silent complicity.
