Digging out some old #fringetheatre posters I made 10 years ago. I did four years worth of the shiny new festival posters. The image is a self portrait resembling the iconic tragedy and comedy masks used in theatre as far back as the ancient Greeks. The design is inspired by 60s film posters and ‘Not I’ a short dramatic monologue written in 1972 Samuel Beckett where an entire performance is given with just a pair of lips talking to them selves on stage and everything else is blacked out. It’s so sinister and fascinating. This poster was plastered all over the streets of Liverpool for the duration of the festival. #posterdesign #artfestival #artist #selfportrait #photography #vintage #movieposter @siobhannoble
