Digging out some old #fringetheatre posters I made 10 years ago. I did four years worth of the shiny new festival posters. The image is a self portrait resembling the iconic tragedy and comedy masks used in theatre as far back as the ancient Greeks. The design is inspired by 60s film posters and ‘Not I’ a short dramatic monologue written in 1972 Samuel Beckett where an entire performance is given with just a pair of lips talking to them selves on stage and everything else is blacked out. It’s so sinister and fascinating.
