STYLISTS YOU’RE GOING TO WANT TO KNOW THIS! Do you have issues with your keratins bonds shedding WAY TOO FAST? We know that keratin sheds! That’s a normal occurrence, but this should take 4-6 months and in my experience most people only lose about 16-20 out of 200+ keratins. So are you losing more than that? Let me tell you why! 1- You’re not prepping the hair properly. You may not be washing them enough to get all of the oils off of their hair, or maybe you used conditioner on their scalp before applying the keratins. This can all lead the keratins slipping off the hair shaft. I love the @matrix and @bellamihairpro extension priming shampoo! Shampoo twice with that, no conditioner and you’re set! It’s color safe too!! 2- OR are you putting too much hair in the bond? Keratins should be matched up, density to density! If you’re adding too much hair per bond the bond won’t seal and will slip right off of the hair! Which leads us to our next point! 3- Your bonds aren’t sealing properly! When your bonds don’t seal COMPLETELY around the subsections of hair, this WILL allow water, products, and natural hair oil to get into the bond causing it to break.
