In collaboration with the Consulate General of Denmark in New York, The Jungle of Tongues and Ears is an installation of wood and paper setting the scene for the Citizen Sustainability Summit at the Highline in New York 19th 20th 21st September 2022 The installation is made of folded, flower- like, paper objects, staged in collaboration with students of The Parsons School of Art & Design @parsonsschoolofdesign It visualizes a bright colored jungle inspired in shape by tongues and ears. The shape is a symbolic reference to the essence of the event - to listen and create a dialogue around the themes livability, inclusion and sustainability. It is also a play on New York known as "The Concrete Jungle". The installation's paper and wood flowers will be available for purchase after the summit, and all remaining materials gifted to the students of Parsons for reuse in their artistic practices. #henrikvibskov @denmarkinny #citizensustainabilitysummit
